St. Anthony Parish School was established over 100 years ago, making us the oldest Catholic School in Long Beach. We have provided a faith-filled quality education for the youth of Long Beach and surrounding neighborhoods since 1908! The halls and rooms echo and radiate with the delight of children, the excitement of learning, and the warmth of loving teachers. Our school is further embraced by a supportive Pastor and parish community that truly believe a Catholic education provides an advantage for life.
I began working at St. Anthony’s as the First Grade teacher in 2007 and spent seven wonderful years in the classroom in both First and Second Grade. I was asked to step in as the interim principal in 2014 and was delighted to return to the principal position for the 2014-2015 school year. One of the best parts about being the principal at the same school where I was a teacher is that I’ve taught many of the students and I know the families very well. We always strive for a family atmosphere here at St. Anthony’s and we want you and your child(ren) to feel welcomed and at home the moment you walk through the front door.
Not only are the faculty and staff of St. Anthony some of my closest friends, but they are amazing educators who are committed to fostering an environment in which children can develop to their fullest potential: spiritually, physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually. Our mission is to instill in each child a desire to be a faithful and active Catholic Christian and to develop a lifelong love of learning. Graduates of St. Anthony Parish School attend quality high schools and top colleges. We help mold students into people of faith, hope, and love. If you are looking for a safe and loving environment offering a strong academic education rooted in Gospel values, then you belong at St. Anthony’s!
We feel honored that you are considering St. Anthony as a school for your child. It will be our privilege to share in the education of those most precious to you: your children. We believe that as parents, you are the primary educators of your child and we are here to assist you in that task. I am so excited to welcome your family to St. Anthony Parish School and I look forward to meeting with you in the future!
